Workshop: Literary Cuff Bracelet
August 23rd, Thursday
Students will create a copper or brass cuff bracelet using stamping and hammering techniques to create various textures, words, or phrases on your cuff. Come with a phrase, quote, or very short poem (try to keep it around 20 words maximum) to stamp into your bracelet. Add a patina on the copper bracelet for a antiqued look, or keep them polished and shiny. Cuff will be finished in class so you can wear it home!
All materials and tools will be provided.
Class is open to any student ages 14+.
Class is available to six students.
For your safety, closed toe shoes are required for this workshop.
Please allow extra time for parking, as it does get busy on Grandview Avenue in the evenings and weekends. Street parking can be found along Grandview Avenue. There is also a large parking lot directly across the street from The Smithery, located behind Spagio and Staufs. Additionally, you may park in the lot behind The Grandview Carryout at the corner of Grandview & 3rd, or the parking lot between the Post Office and Figlio. The parking lot at PNC on West 1st Ave is public parking after 6pm.
Due to the small class sizes and demand for each seat, if you are unable to attend a class for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible to allow another student to register for the class.
Please note, we cannot offer refunds for student cancellations, but we can offer credit to be applied toward a future workshop based on the timeframe in which you have notified us of your cancellation.
Workshop cancellations are decided three days before the start date. In the rare event that The Smithery must cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrollment, currently enrolled students will have the option to have the entire class fee refunded or held as credit for future workshops.
